IN THE SIXTIES CASTAGNA CUCINE BEGINS ITS ACTIVITY, SIXTIES REMINDS OF THAT GREAT PERIOD OF TIME
Sixties reintroduces the 1960’S styles of fashion, the geometries, the strong colours and sinuous shapes. Innovative elements include the use of metallic lacquers, with the possibility of drawing engravings in the structure.
Sixties
The name Sixties recalls the golden years of Italian design; in those years architects with remarkable creativity designed pieces and accessories for the emerging Italian furniture industry.
Under the influence of Pop Art, the shapes of objects became softer and innovative thanks to the introduction of geometric patterns in intense colours. The new model was created to celebrate Castagna Cucine’s 60th anniversary.
Sixties features curved shapes, with roundness in the sides, counter and table top. Its uniqueness comes from the customization of the elements, through decorations with geometric patterns, the use of wood combined with surfaces of exclusive metallic lacquers.
Calacatta Oro marble, gold metallic lacquer with engravings, and Canaletto walnut wood are what makes this project unique.
THE COLLECTION IN A DIFFERENT LOOK, WITH WOOD BECOMING PREDOMINANT
The ductility of the model is shown in this bold and resolute version.
Sixties
The colour of the composition has a strong impact, like the strong and decisive shades used in the 60’s. The back of the counter is designed with a sinuous curve that refers to aerodynamic shapes and forces. In combination with the kitchen, the cabinet that overlooks the living area is made with matt black lacquered metal doors and internal wood veneered drawers.
The model is also available in other wood versions.
